Livestock note: Corals are live animals that need an established, stable reef aquarium with suitable lighting, flow, and water chemistry. Research each species' needs before you buy, and follow the merchant's dipping, quarantine, and acclimation guides when they arrive.
This guide covers shopping at Unique Corals (UniqueCorals), a Los Angeles coral farm and reef store that sells aquacultured coral frags, one-of-a-kind WYSIWYG colonies, and reef equipment. It covers popular listings with current prices, how overnight livestock shipping and the coral guarantee work, and the deals we track on gainabargain.com.
Why Trust Us
Before publishing this, we reviewed Unique Corals's homepage, latest arrivals, Shipping page, and Livestock Guarantee. We haven't kept these corals ourselves, so treat this as a research starting point and confirm the live price, availability, and care needs on the merchant site before buying.
If an offer changes or a listing sells, we'll update this guide as soon as we catch it.
Merchant positioning: Unique Corals says it has served the reef community since 2012 from a 5,000-square-foot Los Angeles facility, with over 5,000 gallons of saltwater for quarantine and propagation. It states that about 99% of the corals in its online store are aquacultured in-house.

What Unique Corals Sells
Unique Corals's livestock is grouped into SPS, LPS, soft corals, zoanthids and palythoas, Euphyllia, live rock, and cleanup crew, and you can shop by frags or full colonies. There are also beginner-friendly picks, a rare Collector's section, and a UC Signature line.
Many listings are labeled WYSIWYG (what you see is what you get), which means you receive the exact coral in the photo. On the equipment side, the store sells Triton water testing and supplements, Panta Rhei pumps, MarcoRocks rock and sand, Dalua lighting, tools, and some used or open-box tanks.
What Stands Out About Unique Corals
Aquacultured in-house. The merchant says almost all of its corals are grown at its own facility, with many mother colonies kept there for years, which it presents as a sign of tank-hardened stock.
Strict quarantine. The merchant describes a quarantine, dip, and inspection protocol for everything that enters its systems, and publishes its acclimation and quarantine guides.
Husbandry notes on listings. LPS listings note the lighting and feeding the merchant uses, such as LED intensity of roughly 150 to 200 PAR and regular feeding with PolypLab Reef Roids and BenePets, which helps you match conditions at home.
Packed for the trip. Livestock ships in insulated boxes with oxygenated double bags and heat or cool packs as needed, and the merchant says the animals are packed to be OK for 48 hours.
Things to Consider Before You Buy
- The guarantee pays in store credit. If livestock is lost within 7 days, you must contact customer service within that window with clear photos of the animal, bag, and box. The merchant issues store credit equal to the lost livestock, not cash refunds.
- WYSIWYG means one of a kind. Rare pieces can sell quickly, and several new arrivals were already marked sold out when we checked.
- Watch the weather and delivery. The merchant warns that UPS has suspended overnight guarantees, so late or lost boxes may have no recourse. It recommends avoiding orders during extreme weather and collecting the box promptly.
- Shipping limits. No livestock shipping to Hawaii, and no shipping to PO boxes or PMBs. Alaska and Puerto Rico pay extra, and Saturday arrival costs $15 more.
- Separate shipments. Livestock and dry goods ship separately, with different free-shipping thresholds.
